1984年，来自芬兰赫尔辛基的三个年轻人Tuomo Lassila（主唱兼鼓手）、John Vihervaauml（贝司手）、Staffan Straaringahlman（吉他手）组建了Stratovarious乐队，乐队早期的风格深受70年代传统重金属的影响。

而今天的Stratovarious的音乐则与过去完全不一样，这得益于乐队吉他手Staffan，他在后期很大程度的引入了古典音乐元素，使得乐队摆脱僵硬的金属四套件，而将自己的金属作品多元化。Stratovarious作品绝大部分是激烈而快速的，很少有十分柔情的小品，但是那首“Forever”除外，伤感的歌词美得动人，柔情的演唱触动心绪！国内已有个叫COLA的乐迷将这首歌制作成优美的FLASH了，有空你不妨去搜索听听。附一下这首歌的歌词：

呵呵，我通常不是很耐心的完整聆听他们的专辑，这不是对这样一个元老级的发行了20多张专辑的乐队的不尊重，我的耳朵越来越性急，对于铺天盖地的金属专辑来说，它选择了泛听，哈哈......
