Mark Ryden
◎个人简介Mark Ryden，于1963年美国Oregon州（俄勒冈州）出生，之后移居南加州。
美国插画家，1987年与Art Center College of Design毕业，首个个人艺术展“The Meat Show”发表于1998年。
被媒体评为当代通俗艺术的代表人物。
Mark除了艺术创作，还会参与商业设计，他先后为Scarling,Ringo Starr,Oingo Boingo,Red Hot Chili Peppers,Buthole Surfers,Jack Off Jill,Michael Jackson等音乐名人单位设计专辑封套，风格贯彻他的黑色世界。
虽然外界曾经将他的作品与Gary Baseman，Tim Biskup等画家比较，但不难发现三人有着回异的风格。
◎风格介绍受到Alice in Wonderland的感染，Mark在彩色世界内尽情绘制啜核的黑色童话，你可以在Mark的画作里看到小女孩、兔子、林肯总统或一些“超现实”的动物，他笔下的小女孩，眼神忧郁，亦正亦邪，而画面更经常出现邪行、切肉、骨骼、残肢，与一般童话故事比较会产生一种极不协调的黑色世界，很明显，Mark的目标对象是成年人，而不是爱食糖果的小朋友。

◎世界舞台07年3月在洛杉矶Michael Kohn Gallery举办艺术展《The Tree Show》，其中一幅画作《The Tree of Life》以$800,000美元(约￥5,900,000人民币)售出,引来Lowbrow Art(当代通俗艺术)界热血话题,世界各地不少博物馆及艺术馆即时向Mark Ryden招手为他举办展览,将他的作品推进到世界艺术舞台。
