剧情介绍“猛鬼跳墙”的卖座，使得片商决定在拍续集，制作人决定让在片中被南西杀死的厉鬼佛雷敌再度复活。电影公司并想尽办法要让依德参加演出。依德婉转的谢辞新片的演出，因为她不断地梦见厉鬼佛雷迪想尽办法追杀她及她的家人，最令她害怕的是佛雷迪拥有一只抓死任何人的钢铁利爪。依德的先生离奇丧命于车祸中，他身上的抓痕告诉了依德，佛雷迪是真实的，而不是梦幻。现在，她和儿子迪伦是佛雷迪的下一个目标。无助的依德凭着爱子的决心和勇气，有佛雷迪的追杀中，将他杀死，救回生命，将他杀死，救回生命饱受威胁的迪伦，走出恶梦。
