H.G.Poulos

波勒斯（H.G.Poulos）

国际著名岩土工程专家，尤其以桩基础的研究著名。

1.经历

波勒斯出生于澳大利亚新南威尔士的Katoomba；

1961年毕业于悉尼大学（University of Sydney), 1965获得博士学位，博士论文题目为《粘性土的沉降》(Settlement of clayey soils)；

1964年4月至1965年1月，获得顾问工程师实践经验，与MacDonald, Wagner and Priddle一起工作；

1965起至今，任教于悉尼大学，历任讲师，高级讲师，副教授，教授，土木与采矿工程学院院长等职；

1989年至今，为Coffey Geosciences的顾问工程师，同时任教于悉尼大学。

2.学术成就

Poulos教授是世界著名的岩土工程专家，在桩基础研究方面有独到的造诣。是弹性理论的集大成者，其著作《桩基础的分析与设计》是该领域的的经典著作。其著作包括3本书，参编了7本书，250篇左右的学术文献。同时，参加了澳大利亚和世界范围内的300多个工程项目。

3.荣誉

澳大利亚科学院院士，澳大利亚工程院院士，美国土木工程师协会（ASCE）会员，Institution of Engineers of Australia的荣誉会员，Institution of Engineers of Australia评选的2003年度的澳大利亚土木工程师。

获得Institution of Engineers of Australia的Warren Prize and Warren Medal。美国土木工程师协会的the State-of-the-Art Award。澳大利亚地质力学协会的John Jaeger Memorial Award。澳大利亚政府的Centenary Medal。

是以下学术讲座的主讲人：E. H. Davis Memorial Lecture；the Schiffman Lecture at Cornell University；the Ardaman Lecture at the University of Florida；the inaugural Athenian Geotechnical Lecture in Greece；the 8th Spencer Buchanan Lecture at Texas A&M University；

1989年度朗肯讲座（Rankine lecture),题目为Pile behaviour - theory and application；2004年度太沙基讲座（Terzaghi lecture)，题目为：Pile behavior—Consequences of natural and construction imperfections。
