剧情介绍娜坦妮开车送妹妹嘉儿到松鼠疗养院，那是一间专为失忆人士而设的康服中心。嘉儿三十来岁，因在森林中被雷电击中而出现轻微失忆的状况。她们的母亲多年前因患上了阿耳滋海默氏病(一种早老性精神病)而曾经入住这中心。嘉儿进入这个怪异又与世隔绝的世界后认识了菲腊，一名四十多岁的男子，他因车祸不但失去了记忆，也失去了妻子和儿子。日夕相对，二人渐生情素：她让他重新寻回失去的记忆。因为她的原故，他再次成为一个真正的男人。而他，因为爱她而愿意陪伴她面对受遗传基因影响的人生。
幕后花絮沙宝·布赖特曼导演第一部电影便讲述失忆这困难的主题实在是令人感到意外。拍摄丧失意识的状况是很大胆的挑战，幸好有两位十分出色的演员帮助，加上富感情和人情味浓厚的看法。纯粹的爱情文艺片，非常煽情，但对两人生活的细节描写，则细腻动人，多采用面部特写，很能突出主角的内心情感世界。摄影优美，总之对女性观众有一定吸引力。
