佛瑞迪罗德奎兹生长在芝加哥，从十几岁就开始演戏，14岁加入了剧团，开始了他的演艺事业。
佛瑞迪罗德奎兹是好莱坞戏路最广的新生代演员，他曾以HBO自制影集【六呎风云】（Six Feet Under）一度入围艾美奖并二度入围演员工会奖。他曾经参与演出的作品包括：【水中的女人】（Lady in the Water）、【海神号】（Poseidon）、【玩命派对】（Havoc）、【漫步在云端】（A Walk in the Clouds）、【绝命战场】（Dead Presidents）、【超级破坏王】（The Pest）、【劈腿三人行】（Chasing Papi）、【危险人物】（Payback）、【刑房】（Grind House）、【刺杀巴比】（Bobby）【丑女贝蒂】（Ugle Betty）等。
