科学语言
解释一种严谨的，科学的语言表达方式。
使用场合科学语言多用于一些严格规范的文章、会议、演说和杂志中。
例如：教科书、科学书籍（注意区别科普与科学）、大型科学演说、论文。
现状科学语言，看上去简单易懂，但在现实生活中要真正做到，却不是一件容易的事。纷纷扰扰已近一年的“周老虎”事件，有领导曾以自己的脑袋来担保周正龙拍摄到的是真老虎，结果怎样了呢，在这些领导当初振振有词的语言中，有没有半点追求真理、崇尚科学和实事求是的精神呢？至于后来发生的贵州瓮安女孩溺亡事件；山西省娄烦县寺沟村尖山铁矿山体滑坡事故和三聚氰胺毒奶粉等事件中，也都是由于有关部门及当事者不愿以真诚而实事求是的“科学语言”向公众袒露真情，结果事情越闹越大。“科学语言”在这些地方官员的嘴里始终难以启齿，是很能反映其中的一种精神状态的。
目前，一些教科书上暴露的问题就充分说明了我们没有在应使用科学语言的场合注意使用科学语言。比如说，我们常说：“自然界中绝对静止的物体是不存在的。”这句话看似正确，但其中有一个问题。因为我们在说这句话的同时又说：“自然界中100%的水是不存在的。”两句话中的“自然界中“该如何解释？第二句话中”自然界中“是指自然界中不存在，但人造存在。而第一句话中，”自然界中“显然不是这个意思，而是无论如何都不存在。
从这点可以看出，即使在以严谨著称的教科书上，依然没有严格使用科学语言。
