金大贤是位美国演员，最被人们所熟知的角色是在《迷失》中扮演的金。他在韩国斧山出生，从小和家人一起移民美国宾夕法尼亚州，并在那里上大学。大学学习的专业是政治学和戏剧，就读过两个学院。
在金大贤出演人气剧集《迷失》(Lost)之前就因在许多科幻剧中扮演角色而出名。虽然金大贤在《迷失》中扮演的角色说韩语，但事实上金大贤平时都说英语，韩语说得一点都不流利。
2005年的时候金大贤被《People》杂志评为最性感的男人之一。除了表演，他还为一个XBOX 360游戏配过音。此外，他还在游戏《24》配过音。
