《Before Your Love》
《Thankful》这张专辑便让Kelly的高音极致发挥。专辑制作群为Kelly打造了一个完全不同于时下流行的专辑，没有尖着喉咙以气声演唱hip-hop舞曲，也没有穿着小可爱透肚脐穿鼻环展现性感，她打扮的素净端庄，演唱着挑动情绪的成人抒情歌曲，并且用层层迭迭的合音与配乐来营造气势，令人想起当年Mariah Carey与Whitney Houston令全世界着迷的动人情歌，可以说它复古，但在2003年的流行乐坛上倒也是一种创新，Kelly Clarkson丢出了一张属于她自己独特风格优秀成绩单。
首支单曲“Miss Independent”，有Christina Aguilrea参与创作，是专辑中较不一样的一首歌曲，歌曲一开始，便非常有Christina性感挑逗的热情氛围。“You Thought Wrong ”与“Thankful”是传统快版R&B舞曲，除了Kelly展现高超的转音之外，American Idol的另一位参赛者Tamyra Gray并在“You Thought Wrong”中一同飙歌。“Some Kind Of Miracle”开头的哼唱，以及拉长时的抖音唱法，让人无法不联想起Whitney Houston。开场曲“The Trouble With Love Is”的键盘与鼓，是典型的当代成人情歌；而“Low”的吉他伴奏，则是Faith Hill一般受人喜爱的乡村流行。另外专辑中也收录了首支单曲“A Moment Like This”新版，将原本的小品情歌，提供了更多的空间让Kelly的声音挥洒。
