锚测验是一种对不同被试进行副本形式测验进行平衡的测量方式，为了区分开A，B两测验的差异到底是测验造成还是测试群体造成，心理测量学从不同的测验中抽取出一定项目形成一个项目集合——称为“锚测验”，然后对于两个群体1和2，群体1施测A和锚测验，群体2施测B和锚测验，然后利用锚测验将群体差异与测验差异区别出来。
