北京大学学生全球交流发展协会
学生全球发展交流协会（Global Exchange Network for Students )于2007年6月正式成为北京大学注册社团，在北京大学学生课外活动指导中心、北京大学外国语学院以及北京大学国际合作部的指导下，通过举办国际性的交流活动，为不同国家的青年人构建了一个了解中国的平台，同时创造让更多优秀的北大学子走出校园，放眼世界的机会,建立起全新的中外交流导向。
GENS(学生全球发展交流协会）作为国际学生交流会（International Week Coordinating Organization)的新成员，在IWCO的支持下，首次把在全世界范围内具有广泛影响力的“国际交流周”（International Week)活动引入中国,并与其它三十多个IWCO会员建立了紧密的联系，共同致力于在不同文化背景的世界大学生中促进跨文化的商务、学术、文化和社会问题的交流与合作。同时，GENS深入发展和贯彻学生“国际交流周”的文化和理念，以全新的视野、创新的姿态迎接国际学生交流的浪潮，积极参与国际社会各项学生交流活动，并配合IWCO将“国际交流周”活动推广到更多的国家和地区。[1]
Founded in June 2007, supported by after-class activity center for students of PKU (Peking University), the Foreign Language School of PKU as well as the International Cooperation Department under the Student Union, GENS—Global Exchange Network for Students, provides an excellent platform for young people from all over the world to know more about China meanwhile it offers a golden opportunity for PKU students to go out of the campus and enjoy the great outside world. As a new member of IWCO (International Week Coordinating Organization), GENS got a lot of help from the organization with which it first introduced the "International Week", a highly-reputed program for students' international exchanges into China as well as came into contact with more than 30 IWCO members and set up a long-term cooperation system with them aiming at promoting commercial, academic, cultural and social communications and cooperation among university students coming from various cultural backgrounds. At the same time, according to spirit of "International Week", GENS is leading the trend of students' international exchanges in China and takes an active part in different exchange programs all around the world thus making "International Week" win higher "brand loyalty" among young people from different countries and regions. The coming 2008 is a year of Olympics, so taking this opportunity, GENS will be a best window from which the foreign university students can see a energetic China and a charming Beijing where modern technologies and ancient cultures live in harmony, where sports never stops making Beijing a city of vigor and rhythm, where young people believe in their hands and ambitions to build a promising future for Chinese of millions.
