麦克·尼可尔斯
麦克·尼可尔斯(Mike Nichols),1931年11月6日生于德国柏林，父亲是犹太裔俄国人，因恐遭纳粹迫害而于1939年举家移居美国。就读于芝加哥大学医学院时，他做过夜间守门人、邮差等多种工作。因喜爱表演艺术，后来和人组成一个即兴小组，经常在校园和饭店演出。1957年因在舞台上临场发挥的机智和针贬时弊的锋利而闻名全国。1963年，他在百老汇导演了自己的舞台剧《赤脚走在公园里》，获得成功，被人誉为“点石成金”的人。60年代中期开始导演电影，同样取得了不错的成绩，第一部为1966年的《谁怕弗吉尼亚.沃尔夫》(灵欲春宵)，一举成功 ，获奥斯卡最佳导演提名；次年更以《毕业生》荣鹰第40届奥斯卡最佳导演金像奖，成为当红新秀导演。其后还曾以1983年的《丝克伍事件》及1988年的《打工女郎》再获奥斯卡最佳导演提名。1994年导演有恐怖爱情片《狼人生死恋》，构思奇特，受到欢迎。
