SingerLine Blixt Ivarsonhas recently had here own art exhibition, while singer and composerTorhild Nigarhas worked as an illustrator and stage set decorator. Joined by singerHanne Skjønneberg, they constitute the trioFloweryard.
“Morning Mist”is their first album, to a large degree recorded live in one of Oslo’s most suited church rooms, Vålerenga Kirke. The quiet vibrations from its walls, floor and roof are carefully captured by one of todays formost sound engineers,Jan Erik Kongshaug, also responsible for countless ECM recordings. And the music really embraces a broad balance of moods and meditations.Floweryard is a gracefull garden inspired by nature. Even in the deserts of urban life, the songs of Floweryard provides an oasis of forests and grassy lands, of nightingales and daydreams.This is the real sound of “Norwegian Wood”.Imagine the radiant sun casting a soft warm glow.
