ISWEEEP
“国际可持续发展项目奥林匹克竞赛（I-SWEEEP）”是由宇宙基金会（CF）美国国家航空航天局（NASA）共同主办的面向中学生的可持续发展科研项目竞赛，I-SWEEEP是全球同类赛事中等级最高、参与面最广、规模最大的科学赛事。其长期赛事主办城市为美国第四大城市、美国太空及能源中心城市德克萨斯州休斯敦市。
这项竞赛的目标是：就全球可持续发展所面临的挑战，激发学生的兴趣和意识；帮助学生把握相关议题；探寻解决问题的可行性方案；引起青少年关注;加快世界可持续发展进程。
主办组织及赞助机构：宇宙基金会（Cosmos Foundation）是航天基金会（Space Foundation）全资开设的致力于以可持续发展教育与航天航空教育为主的青少年科学技术教育机构。美国国家航空航天局（National Aeronautics and Space Administration）是美国负责太空计划的政府机构。主赞助商列表：KBR集团（凯洛格布朗路特集团公司）、Shell集团（英荷皇家壳牌集团）、Halliburton集团（哈利伯顿集团公司）、BP集团（英国石油集团公司）、Hertz Furniture集团（赫兹运输设备集团公司）、Wells Fargo银行（富国银行）赞助机构列表：莱斯大学（RICE UNIVERSITY) 、德州农工大学（TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY）、奥斯汀德州大学（UT-AUSTIN）、休斯顿大学（UH）、阿灵顿德州大学（UT-ARLINGTON）、圣安东尼奥德州大学（UTSA）
中国学生如何参加：报名时为高年级（即9—12年级的初三、高一、高二、高三学生），并拥有独立科学研究成果的学生可以参加中国区选拔。国内选拔参赛者需要完成网上材料投递申报。国际决赛参赛者需要完成基础申报、安全性检查申报、人类伦理审查申报、研究无虐待动物审查申报、指导教师责任申报、成人项目监督者责任申报等网络申报程序。集体项目参赛人数为两人，个人项目参赛人数为一人，每个项目（包括个人项目与集体项目）的指导教师为一人。
中国区选拔已将国内主要的青少年科学竞赛作为联系赛事（分别是英特尔全国青少年科技创新大赛、明天小小科学家奖励活动等）。同时每年十一月举办中国区选拔。经过中国区选拔的参赛项目将上报国际竞赛委员会复审，国际复审通过后即可办理签证，在获得签证并签订采访许可、肖像权使用许可、参赛协议之后即可赴美参加国际决赛。
参赛项目类别：能源：包括可再生能源研究、生物能源研究、不可再生能源研究、能源政策研究、清洁能源技术研发、能源效率研究、能源节约技术研发等。工程：包括生物工程研究、土木工程研究、机械工程研究、工业工程研究、材料工程研究、电气工程研究、计算机工程研究等。环境:包括土地管理研究、生态系统管理研究、生物修复技术研发、空气污染对策研究及空气质量研究、土壤污染对策研究及土地质量研究、水污染对策研究及水质量研究、减少-回收-再利用3R研究。
中国参赛的情况2008年9月，中国科学技术协会青少年科技活动中心接到I-SWEEEP组委会的组队参赛邀请。
2009年4月，中国科学技术协会青少年科技活动中心指派上海科协青少年科技活动负责机构组队参加2009年国际可持续发展项目奥林匹克竞赛（2009I-SWEEEP）

项目展示、答辩、科学盛宴、颁奖等活动在休斯敦市乔治布朗会展中心开展。食宿由主办组织免费提供，往返机票及其他费用由派员单位支付。家庭经济困难的参赛者可申请交通财政援助，但仍需通过一定方式分期偿还。

铜奖（30%） 400美元
