乐队的名字来自于领唱Bulmer在学校期间一直想加入的一个俱乐部。她原先想为乐队起的名字是Pony Club，再她看来这是“quirky and kinky and fun”.的象征，但是一个早先的爱尔兰乐队已经注册了这个名字，因此New Young这个前缀就加了上去，反映出了乐队更新。更年轻，更有活力的一面~~专辑辑英文名: The Optimist
