麦克法兰猪笼草
Nepenthes macfarlanei麦克法兰猪笼草是以植物学家麦克法兰名字命名的一种马来半岛特有的食虫植物。麦克法兰猪笼草可以长出带红色斑点的捕虫笼。下位笼成卵形至圆柱型，可高达20cm。在盖子下表面密布着白色的短毛。这是麦克法兰猪笼草的特点之一，但目前还不清楚其功能是麦克法兰猪笼草的上位笼

查尔斯·克拉克（Charles Clarke ）在苏门答腊和马来半岛发现了一种瘦小猪笼草（N. gracillima）与麦克法兰猪笼草的自然杂交种（N. gracillima × N. macfarlanei）。
