武汉工业学院工商学院是武汉工业学院工商学院是2002年7月经湖北省教育厅批准成立，2004年2月经国家教育部确认的全日制普通高等学校。
学院以本科教育为主要办学层次，纳入国家普通高校招生计划，面向全国招生。自创办以来，以管理学、工学为重点，兼顾发展其他应用学科。现设有电气信息工程系、管理学系、经济学系、计算机科学与技术系、机械工程系、会计学系、土木工程系、外国语言文学系、艺术与设计系和基础课教学部等10个教学系（部），包括49个本、专科专业，是湖北省独立学院中专业涉及面最广、专业最多也最齐全的全日制普通高等院校之一。目前有在校生10000余人。学院占地面积745亩，各类教学、实验、运动、生活设施齐全，能满足在校生的学习和生活等方面需要。目前校园论坛（http://www.shownei.com）注册人数已逾万人，访问量已超过千万人次。
