歌曲简介相传，歌词改编自六世达赖喇嘛仓央嘉措原作，白衣悠蓝续写的《十诫诗》，冯小刚力邀知名音乐人峦树谱曲，演唱者则邀请到栾树所在的六艺文化有限公司旗下歌手，有“摇滚女诗人”之称的音乐人李漠。
栾树在经过与冯小刚，王朔等电影主创人员反复交流更改后，最终完成了这样一首感人至深的歌曲。也为电影《非诚勿扰2》增添了又一抹亮色。歌词最好不相见，便可不相恋。

作曲简介李漠（左）与峦树（右）
峦树曾担任黑豹乐队键盘手及主唱，后来转向幕后工作。谈及与冯小刚合作的感受，栾树用京腔夸赞冯导：“纯爷们，很睿智！他很注重电影的音乐，很明白自己的需求，是我很尊敬的一个大哥。”
冯小刚希望歌者的声线比较中性化，提出的要求是：“得有经历。”栾树为此找到了有“摇滚女诗人”之称的李漠。李漠对《最好不相见》的理解是：“它是一种很高的智慧，讲的是冥冥之中终将散去。告诉我的是大爱，把内心割舍不下的东西都放下。”
