Baker Hughes Incorporated provides wellbore-related products and services to oil and natural gas industry worldwide. The company operates in seven divisions: Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids (BHDF), Hughes Christensen, INTEQ, Baker Atlas, Baker Oil Tools (BOT), Baker Petrolite, and Centrilift. BHDF division provides drilling fluids, completion fluids, and fluids environmental services; and equipment and services to separate the drill cuttings from the drilling fluids and re-inject the processed cuttings into prepared well, or to transport and dispose of the cuttings. Baker Atlas division provides formation evaluation services that involve measuring and analyzing specific physical properties of the rock to determine oil or natural gas reservoir’s boundaries, volume of hydrocarbons, and ability to produce fluids to the surface for oil and natural gas wells. This division also offers wireline completion and production services, which involve the use of wireline instruments to evaluate well integrity, and perform mechanical intervention and cement evaluations. BOT division provides surface activated, down hole sealing, and anchoring devices. Baker Petrolite division provides specialty chemicals and polymer-based products. Centrilift division manufactures and supplies electrical submersible pump systems and progressing cavity pump systems. The company offers its products primarily through its sales organizations, as well as through supply stores, independent distributors, agents, licensees, or sales representatives.
