简介(brief introduction)

[a]赵氏小盗龙是世界上已知体型最娇小、非鸟类之兽足类恐龙。它的体型和始祖鸟相仿，体长不足40公分！在赵氏小盗龙发现之前，全球发掘长羽毛的恐龙依序为中华龙鸟、原始祖鸟、尾羽龙、北票龙、千禧中国鸟龙，赵氏小盗龙是第六件长着羽毛的恐龙。根据赵氏小盗龙后肢特征，它可能习栖于树上，而且可以在林间自在滑翔。赵氏小盗龙的发现，大力地支持了鸟类飞行的「树栖起源」假说，也显示「鸟类起源于恐龙」假说和「鸟类飞行的树栖起源」假说之间，并不互相矛盾或对立。

顾氏小盗龙的四肢都有羽毛，被称为“四翼恐龙”。
