SUPREME的成功，或者说美国街头服饰的成功，不得不提的名字：JAMES JEBBIA。他20多岁的时候边来到纽约，开展他从小便喜爱的街头服饰事业。起初，他协助UNION 、STUSSY等街牌的发展，大受好评。
1994年，JAMES JEBBIA受到滑板、HIP HOP等文化的启发，开设了首家的以滑板为主的时装店SUPREME，积极发展机能性和多元化，使得SUPREME从单一的滑板品牌成为纽约甚至全美首屈一指的街头时装品牌。
1997年，引入日本，通过和原宿品牌的合作，使SUPREME迅速红遍日本。从此，SUPREME便登上世界街牌大哥的行列。
