个人简历
男，1962年出生于湖北省。
1978年—1982年在华中工学院（现华中科技大学）学习，获数学学士；
1982年—1985年获华中理工大学（现华中科技大学）和硕士学位。
于1990年获美国麻省理工学院经济学博士学位，师从诺贝尔经济学奖获得者麦克法登教授。
现任上海财经大学统计学系主任，教授，博士生导师；
美国佛罗里达大学惠灵顿工商管理学院经济系终身教授；
中国教育部长江学者、清华大学首批特聘教授、华中科技大学兼职教授；
美国计量经济学会会员，曾于1990年至1991年任美国经济研究局研究员，
于1991年至1994年任教于美国纽约州立大学石溪分校。
学术成果和研究方向
主要研究领域为计量经济学、实证微观经济学、实证金融、实证产业组织经济学等。是包括Econometrica、American Economic Review、Review of Economic Studies、Journal of Econometrics、Econometric Theory、Journal of Economics and Business Statistics、Journal of Industrial Economics、Health Economics等国际顶级期刊在内的十数家经济学专业期刊的审稿人。研究成果覆盖面广，涉及计量经济理论、统计学、实证金融、实证产业组织、卫生经济学、国际经济学等多个领域。到目前为止，已在美国主要经济学期刊上发表论文三十余篇，其中包括发表在全球经济学期刊排名第二、发文难度最高的Econometrica上的两篇文章；参与合著专著四部。

代表性科研成果
其学术贡献是，对如何确定半参数估计值的上界这一问题给出了初步的解；并在此基础上，为如何找到一个半参数估计值这一问题提供了全面和满意的答案。其研究成果推进了半参数研究方法对时间序列数据研究的系统性与一致性。
