总分总
写作策略中最重要是先把握结构——结构是不变的中流砥柱,而总分总是使用最频繁、最经典的极致。
在高中高年级阶段,随着学生思维能力的提高和语言学习策略的逐步掌握,教学的重心势必从以听说为主,转而向读写看齐。阅读是个输入的过程,在读的过程中,如能总结归纳出佳篇的方法,再出运用到自己的文章中,将不再为作文头痛。
先请学生阅读文章,注意文章的结构,完成表格, 提出总分总式写作结构。

有些学生可能会觉得我不想用什么结构,就跟着感觉走就行,想到哪写到哪。那么请学生欣赏几段总分总式美文:
美文1. My Resignation By Anonymous
Anonymous为什么要辞职不当大人了而要返回做个八岁的儿童? From now on, I am officially giving in my resignation as an adult. I have decided to accept the responsibilities of an eight-year-old again.
I want to go to Mc-Donald's and think it's a four-star restaurant. I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make splashes with rocks. I want to think M&M's are better than money because you can eat them. I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer's day. I want to return to a time when life was simple. When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care. All you knew was to be happy because you were happy unaware of all the things that should make you worried or upset. I want to think the world is fair, that everyone is honest and good. I want to believe thatanything is possible.
Somewhere in our youth, we grew up and learned too much. There are nuclear weapons, war, prejudice, and abused children, lies, unhappy marriages, illness, pain and death, a world companies poison our water and our soil, and children kill.
美文2. 海伦.凯勒《假如给我三天光明》中对善良的人们的感谢,对生活的感恩:On the first day, I should want to see the people whose kindness and gentleness and companionship have made my life worth living. First I should like to gaze long upon the face of my dear teacher, Mrs. Anne Sullivan Macy, who came to me when I was a child and opened the outer world to me. I should want not merely to see the outline of her face, so that I could cherish it in my memory, but to study that face and find in it the living evidence of the sympathetic tenderness and patience with which she accomplished the difficult task of my education. I should like to see in her eyes that strength of character which has enabled her to stand firm in the face of difficulties, and that compassion for all humanity which she has revealed to me so often.
这种写作结构比起许多中国学生按时间顺序去写作,也就是我们说的流水账式的方式有什么好处:它是是时间和效率的体现。正象团队精神,必有一人总领全队,其他人分工明确,实现最高效率。除了能在最短时间内让读者了解最重要的信息,将文章要点一开始就交代清楚的总分总结构还能稳定读者情绪,并且给读者一个清晰的思路,即使有些语法错,拼写问题,也没有大碍。
接着,请学生写两篇文章加以运用和巩固:
例1、 外教Tom 刚来到中国,想向你征求如何上课,你根据自己的情况提出教学建议。
大部分中国学生一提到英语,就会先谈英语如何重要,我们应该如何重视,然后又说学生对电影,音乐感兴趣,请外教多讲些这方面的内容。这个写法只能流于形式,泛泛而谈。而如果能先提出自己将要在听说读写四个方面给出建议,就会让读者一目了然,急于往下读,想看看具体什么建议,最后总的写出自己期望的老师和课堂的特点。
例2、 外教Tom 想在周末到青岛转转,请你介绍一下。
学生谈到自己熟悉的事物,可能更不注意层次了,很多学生抬笔就写,结果写了一大堆景点,并没给外教留下什么印象。运用总分总,先告诉Tom有三个地方是必须去的,栈桥,五四广场和崂山。然后再分别说明三个地方的特点和代表性,最后总结来到青岛不去这三个地方等于没来。这个推荐介绍是成功的,外教一定会先去这三个地方的,一饱眼福。
总分总这种结构看似简单,但对思维要求是非常高的,在没有动笔之前就要运筹帷幄,全盘想清楚,最好是列个提纲。我们的学生写中文作文的时候还能想着提出主题或论点,列举论据,最会来个总结,呼应点题。但一写英文作文了,即使简单的题目,也有写跑了题的。能够先列个提纲,有意运用总分总式的不多。而能把这个结构融入于心,运用自如的则少之又少。所以我们应该持之以恒的提醒学生,帮助他们巩固运用。
去年我校有几位学生参加全国新概念英语大赛,赛前我们几位英语老师有意识让学生使用这种结构去写,结果所以的学生都通过了初赛,有一位还在决赛中获得了一等奖。记得视频中的一位被采访的学生说:如果有好的学习策略,我会尝试使用的。谁给学生提供好的学习策略,谁做语言使用的领路人?这位英语学习已经很成功的学生对我们的英语教学提出了挑战!还记得培训第一天公共课中那位被称为小石头的中文教师给我留下了深刻的印象,他每周都要给学生讲他的阅读心得,他在课堂上与学生互相出题写作文,再互相批阅,点评。我一下悟出了一个道理:我们是语言使用的传播者,但首先我们应该做语言创作的先锋!平时我们写论文,写总结如果能注意一下语篇结构,自己写得开心,读者读得享受,何乐而不为呢?
