剧情简介菲利普，天性善良又浪漫的贵族后代，对女演员一见锺情的他，虽然也想从事演员工作，却因口吃而吃足苦头。卡蜜儿，靠清洁工作过活的爱画画女孩，对绘画充满热情，对人却无法信任，独居在简陋的破阁楼中困苦生活著，因一个善意的招呼，而与陌生的邻居菲力普产生温暖的友情。
法兰克，被厨师工作累个半死的穷小子，寄居在好友菲利普的大公寓中，冗长工时使他看不到未来也找不到恋人，生活愈来越堕落，脾气也越来越暴躁。某一天，窝在没有暖气的阁楼中，冷得半死又没钱吃饭的卡蜜儿，终于病倒在自己的房间，还好被菲利普发现了，伸出援手让卡蜜儿入住到自己的大公寓里。不过这举动却惹得法兰克十分不开心，对卡蜜儿的第一印象极差，而卡蜜儿也对法兰克糟糕的生活方式不能认同，两人于是产生了沟通障碍，不是冷战就是大吵。虽然与卡蜜儿冲突不断，而且工作又繁重的不得了，法兰克仍是想尽办法拨空，去看顾因发生意外而住进医院的奶奶。在一阵混乱的同居生活中，圣诞节到来了。菲利普奉父母之命必须返家过节，留下了两个火药桶四眼相对。都是单独无依的两人，只好一同过节、一起去探望老奶奶，没想到竟因此擦出意想不到的火花。
又一部以巴黎为题的电影，虽然同样是在描述爱情，《巴黎夜未眠》却将重心放在都市人的孤寂以及人与人之间的疏离感上，藉由生活背景、性格各异的陌生人之间所擦出的火花，来探讨现代人的生活，片中那种时而轻盈活泼时而抑郁沉重的氛围，很能让人在其中找到与自己生活的相似片段。电影轻描淡写的描述著现代人独善其身、对于周遭事物的冷漠背后，其实都是源于孤独及不信任感。若是想看一般你情我爱的轻松喜剧，《巴黎夜未眠》或许不是一个很好的选择，但观众却可以从中窥视人生中细微的生活起落，以及那些人与人之间打开心防之后的温暖，它或许不会让你大哭大笑，但你会发现这种感动却会超乎你想像的维持许久。

故事围绕四个人的遭遇而展开，他们将逐渐了解彼此，相互学习怎样去爱，怎样相互依靠。Camille是一个清洁女工，非常热爱绘画。ilibert是一个年轻的单身贵族，对历史十分着迷，性格内向，宁愿独自相处，住在一栋属于他父母的房子里。Franck是一名厨师，具有男子汉的阳刚之气而且魅力十足。以及还有Paulette，是Franck最深爱的祖母，她已经上了年纪，敏感而有趣。他们将学会怎样帮助他人，在一起摆脱疑虑和忧伤。他们将会发现，原来只要在一起，万事才变得如此容易。

幕后制作：
影片根据当代法国著名女畅销小说作家安娜·加瓦尔达的最新同名小说改编，年轻的加瓦尔达成名很早，她从小就才气出众，24岁时就以文学教授身份进入法国教育部。1999年，她的处女作短篇小说集《我希望有人在什么地方等我》在遭遇多次退稿后终获一出版社青睐，出版后一夜成名。而《只要在一起》2004年小说一面世就雄霸法国书刊类销售排行榜冠军。
本片导演克洛德·贝里是闻名法国影坛的全能影人，制片、编剧、导演、演员都很成功，80年代以壮丽的法国史诗《泉水村的玛侬》和《恋恋山城》扬名法国影坛，监制的影片中则以《苔丝》最为著名，近几年导演的有影响的影片还有《萌芽》、《烽火一世情》、《性感保姆》等。
女主角扮演者则是因《天使爱美丽》而成名的奥黛丽·塔图，近几年奥黛丽·塔图在世界影坛可以说是红的发紫啊。与奥黛丽·塔图演对手戏的是标准的法国英俊小生吉约姆·卡内，吉约姆·卡内刚刚以处女作《沉默猎杀》获得了今年法国凯撒电影奖最佳导演奖。
