人物琐事Skandar有着黎巴嫩血统，他母亲的父辈中有非常著名的黎巴嫩作家和中东问题学者；除了2004年，Skandar拍纳尼亚，全家匆忙的随他一去了新西兰的拍摄现场，他每年的夏天都是在黎巴嫩度过的。尽管家人给他在每个周末安排阿拉伯语课程，但Skandar未能很好地掌握。
Skandar的父辈系家族则更加显赫。提出进化论学说的英国自然学家达尔文是他的曾曾曾祖父，家族沾亲带故的其他名人还包括经济学家约翰凯恩斯（John Maynard Keynes）、历史学家西蒙凯文斯（Simon Keynes）、诺贝尔得奖生物学家阿德里安（Edgar Adrian）以及哲学家大卫休谟（David Hume）等等。
在成为“纳尼亚”的埃德蒙之前Skandar曾为《魔法保姆麦克菲》试镜，但那个角色最终给了托马斯·桑斯特。拍摄第一部《狮子，女巫和魔衣橱》期间他正经历变声，因而一些台词后来是由姐姐为他配音的，宣传期间他还带着傻傻的牙套，可是到了第二部《凯斯宾王子》，人们看到了Skandar“美少年”的脱变。片中的“苏珊”安娜·帕波维尔与他住的很近，除了交流拍摄外，两人都是英超豪门阿森纳俱乐部的支持者。Skandar还同“哈利波特”丹尼尔·雷德克里夫读过同一所学校。
Skandar长大后想做医生，不知道是因为受了家庭的影响还是因为他最喜欢的电视节目。 在某个访谈中，“Grey’s Anatomy……Sex and the City和Project Runway都是我的恶趣味所在。不，事实上很棒。Grey’s Anatomy的医学部分……真的很有趣！”Skandar笑道。他最喜欢的电视节目是Family Guy(家庭伙伴)和Scrubs(实习医生风云).。

被问及他喜欢怎样的音乐风格时，他说道：“基本上都喜欢的，只要不是乡村乐或死亡金属。”Skandar喜欢的乐队是Queen, Outkast,Red Hot Chilli Peppers，他很喜欢很喜欢Soundtracks。
他喜欢的食物是Nandos，匹萨，中国食物还有鱼和薯片。他喜欢可口可乐，拍摄纳尼亚1里爱德蒙看到狐狸被白女巫变成石头，然后又挨白女巫一巴掌那幕时，导演安德鲁为了帮Skandar培养情绪，告诉他“剩下的拍片期间你都不准喝可乐”他立刻就哭了。（《纳尼亚传奇电影完全手册》中提到这一段了：斯坎达觉得最难的一场戏是“感情戏，哭哭啼啼的玩意，蒂尔达把狐狸变成了石像，而我泄漏了消息的那幕。不过安德鲁帮我培养情绪。开拍前，他拉我到一旁，跟我说了一些私事，我可不会传出去”。）
他喜欢的颜色是蓝色，在某个访谈中他是这样回答一个问题的：

SK：Favourite colour? Urm sometimes blue, yeah sometimes blue, yeah mainly blue!
他认为在他的演绎事业中最值得纪念的是《纳尼亚传奇》于2005年12月7日在英国伦敦皇家艾尔伯特大厅的首映。
在拍摄《狮子、女巫和橱》期间，被禁止在片场吃含糖的东西，为了防止他的精力过剩、活动过度。在《纳尼亚传奇电影完全手册》中提到：这两个男孩（William和Skandar）在片场到处胡闹。有一天他们拍摄的场景是大轰炸把佩文西家的窗户炸碎了，两人爱死了这场戏的特级动作：威廉必须跑进来，把斯坎达推到地上，也让斯坎达身上多了开拍以来的第一处瘀伤。等他们都爬起来，斯坎达抱怨个不停，威廉跟他说地上那些软软的碎玻璃其实是糖做的。威廉知道斯坎达不需要甜食助兴已经精力过人，所以他绝不能在片场吃含糖的东西，糖果，巧克力，汽水全都是违禁品。可是等我们发现的时候，斯坎达塞了满嘴的假玻璃。等他发现味道那么难吃，他的脸都绿了，而威廉则笑的腰都直不起来。
在拍摄《狮子、女巫和魔衣橱》期间，Skandar不得不吃下35块跟他拳头一样大小的土耳其软糖。导演这么说：“第一次做土耳其软糖时，他们来问我，要做真的还是假的土耳其软糖？到了第三还是第四次拍摄，他们担心你（指Skandar）吃了太多糖。于是我就说用假的土耳其软糖，也就是指果胶一类的，但是他们却用了有机玻璃，所以拍摄的时候，当Skandar开始咬这玩意，他想努力融入角色，咬着那块玻璃糖，最后终于转向我说：Andrew，我没办法吃它。”在拍摄期间，他的盔甲不得不每周都调整重制，因为他长高了6 1/2英寸（约16cm）。
他最理想的居住地方是太平洋上某个很棒的地方或者法国南部或者西班牙。天气暖和且带沙滩的地方。因为英国总是在下雨，并且很冷。
他是个无神论者，在一次访谈中，他是这样回答这个问题的：Do you have a religion and if so what is it? SK：I am an Athiest. I know the films really Christian and everything but it doesn’t really affect me. Oh and you know I’m related to Charles Darwin.
他用Citrus Shine.（洗发剂的牌子）。
至于等他开始需要刮胡子时会选用一个电动刮胡刀还是普通的，SK说：“呃，事实上我曾经尝试着用一把普通的刮胡刀刮过一次胡子，结果弄伤了一半嘴唇，还弄伤了所有的皮肤，这个创伤持续了5天，因为我根本没用刮胡膏或者其他什么的。我不会再次尝试这个了，但是我不知道（这里的不知道应该是指不知道该选用一个电动刮胡刀还是普通的）。Will（威廉的昵称）用一个电动的，他在化装篷里炫耀来着。”

英文简介Keynes was born in London, the son of Zelfa Cecil Hourani and author Randal Keynes. His maternal grandfather, the Lebanese Cecil Fadlo Hourani, is a former advisor to the late Tunisian president Habib Bourguiba, as well as a famous cook; Cecil Hourani is also the brother of Albert Hourani, a major historian of the Middle East. The Hourani family were immigrants to England from Southern Lebanon (Deir Mimas, Lebanon.) On his father's side, Keynes is the great-great-great grandson of the famous biologist Charles Darwin, through whose paternal grandmother Mary Howard he is descended from Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk (uncle to both Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard) and thus from King Edward I. Keynes is also the great-great nephew of the economist John Maynard Keynes and the nephew of the historian and Cambridge professor Simon Keynes. He is also related to the poet Ruth Padel and, through his ancestral connection to the Wedgwood family, to socialist politician Tony Benn. Through his great-grandmother, Hester Adrian, Baroness Adrian – the wife of Nobel Prize laureate Edgar Adrian, 1st Baron Adrian – he is also related to the Scottish philosopher David Hume. He has an older sister, Soumaya Keynes, (born 1989), who has appeared in various productions for BBC Radio 4. Keynes has stated that he is an atheist.
Keynes attended the Anna Scher Theatre School from 2000 to 2005, having attended Thornhill Primary school from 1996-2002. He currently attends the all-boys City of London School along withDaniel Radcliffe. He sat his GCSEs in May and June 2008 and started Sixth Form and his first year of hisA-levelstudies the following September. He is doing biology, chemistry, maths, further maths and history at A-level. He currently writes as a "film critic" for the review section ofThe Citizen, the City of London School weekly school newspaper. He is a fan of English football clubArsenal.
In the summer of 2006, Keynes and his grandfather, mother, and sister were forced to flee from Beirut, Lebanon, where the family was holidaying when the 2006 Lebanon War began.
Keynes currently resides in Highbury, London. He studies Tae Kwon Do and plays the cornet, thecello, the tuba, the flute, and theguitar.
He auditioned (successfully) forThe Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobeat the same time as he auditioned (unsuccessfully) for the role of Simon Brown inNanny McPhee. His voice broke during the filming ofThe Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, leaving his sister Soumaya to voice some of his lines.
