化学工业出版社（简称化工社）是中央级综合科技出版社，建于1953年，其出版范围涵盖化学、化工、材料、环境、能源、生物、药学、医学、大众健康、机械、电气、计算机、轻工、建筑、安全、农业科技等众多专业学科。50多年来，化工社秉承专业、特色、优质、诚信的经营理念，着力保持出书品种、出版规模、图书质量、社会效益和经济效益协调发展，并致力于以丰富多彩的实用科技图书、工具书、教材、电子出版物及专业期刊满足广大读者和业界人士的需求，在行业专家、知名学者和热心作者的大力支持下，化工社已经从专业科技出版社逐步发展成为具有一定品牌优势，“导向正确、管理规范、特色鲜明、效益良好”的综合性科技出版社。
现在，化工社拥有化工·材料、机械·电气、环境·建筑、生物·医药、科普·医学、计算机、教育、科技期刊、电子出版等9个专业出版分社和销售、印务、编辑加工、信息、财务、物业等6个经营中心，组织出版的化学、化工、材料、环境、能源、生物、药学、机械、安全等专业图书一直占据全国零售市场排行前列。今后，化工社将更加强调产品创新、体制创新和机制创新，瞄准国际国内两个市场，进一步实施全面协调发展战略、精品战略、“引进来”与“走出去”战略和数字化出版战略，稳步扩大出版规模，不断提高综合实力，努力建成中国一流的科技出版社。
Chemical Industry Press (CIP) was established in 1953. In the early years, CIP was best known for publications on chemical technology. Through 50-year development, CIP has become one of the best S&T (Science & Technology) presses in China. Our publications have extended to fields of chemistry, chemical technology and chemical engineering, materials, environment, energy, biology, pharmacy, medicine, machinery, electric & electrical engineering, computer technology, light industry, architecture, safety, agricultural technology, and consumer books. We are dedicated to produce best technical books, reference books, textbooks and e-publications for readers both in China and other countries.
CIP has a group of best writers at home and abroad. It is their expertise and responsibility that ensures our business reputation. Our publications on chemistry, chemical technology, materials, environment, energy, biotechnology, pharmacy, machinery and safety topped the retail list of China.
