Campsie Station

Campsie StationCampsie railway station is a heavily patronised station on the Bankstown line of Sydney's CityRail rail network. It serves the Sydney suburb of Campsie.

Station ConfigurationCampsie station is located in a shallow cutting. Immediately to the east of the station, a road bridge carries the suburb's main shopping street, Beamish St, over the line. The station has two side platforms for passenger services, whilst directly behind the northern platform there are two busy freight tracks where there are two unused platforms. Campsie is the only station which has platforms accessible to the goods line. In the early 2000s the old wooden ticket office structure over the line at street level was demolished and replaced with a new metal and glass construction. Lifts are provided to both platforms, giving the station easy access for wheelchairs.

Platforms/ServiceThe station is normally served by four trains an hour on weekdays in off-peak, and two an hour on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. In peak hour there are more services, including limited stop services.
