天津市对外经济贸易职业学院

天津对外经济贸易职业学院是国家批准设立的天津市唯一一所国际贸易和经贸外语类的全日制普通院校，隶属于天津市商务委员会和天津市教育委员会领导。

学院占地面积366亩，建筑面积10万平方米。校园环境幽雅，拥有现代化的教学楼、信息中心楼、实训中心楼、图书馆楼、行政办公楼等；教学设施先进，拥有校园网、先进的语言实验室、高配置的计算机实验室和标准的400米跑道运动场、网球场、体育馆、礼堂等；附属设施齐备，拥有崭新的学生公寓、外教专家公寓等。

学院设有五系、三部和二个中心，即经贸外语一系、经贸外语二系、国际贸易系、商务管理系和会计系；基础课教学部、社会科学教学部和体育教学部；信息中心、实训中心。学院目前在校生7500余人。

学院拥有一支专业知识精，实践能力强的专任教师队伍；其中50%的教师具有硕士以上学历，30%以上拥有教授、副教授职称；院长王乃彦教授系享受国务院特殊津贴专家，现任全国外经贸行业教育教学指导委员会主任委员、澳大利亚悉尼大学客座教授、天津市职业教育人才培养专家组成员。学院还拥有一支由南开大学、悉尼大学等21名国内外著名学者及知名企业家组成的客座教授队伍；一支由19名政府主管部门领导、著名企业家和教授组成的高级专家咨询队伍。

Approved by the Ministry of Education of China and under authority of both Tianjin Municipal Commission of Commerce and Tianjin Municipal Commission of Education, Tianjin Institute of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade (hereinafter referred to as “TIFERT”) is the only full-time vocational institute of higher learning in Tianjin in the field of the international trade and business foreign languages.

TIFERT covers an area of about 244,000 ㎡, out of which total floor space is 100,000 ㎡. The campus enjoys graceful surroundings, where you could find modern Teaching Buildings, Information Center Building, Simulation Center Building, Library, Administrative Office Building, etc.; TIFERT is equipped with such advanced teaching facilities as School Net, up-to-date Language Labs, advanced Computer Labs, Sports ground with 400-meter racetrack, Tennis court, a Gymnasium and an Auditorium; accessory facilities are also well provided with, such as newly-built Students’ Apartment, Foreign Expert Apartment etc.

TIFERT has 5 departments: Business Foreign Language Department no.1, Business Foreign Language Department no.2, International Trade Department, Business Management Department and Accounting Department; 3 sections: Foundation Course Section, Social Science Section and Physical Education Section; and 2 centers: Information Center and Simulation Center. There are, at present, over 7500 students in TIFERT.

TIFERT has an excellent full-time teaching contingent, who are both vocationally proficient and practically experienced, 50% of whom have obtained M.D or even higher degree, over 30% are professors or associate professors. President of TIFERT, Professor Wang Naiyan is an expert gaining the Special Subsidy from the State Council, Chief member of Instructing Committee of the National Vocational Education of Economic Relations and Trade, visiting professor of Sydney University in Australia, Member of the Expert Group for Bringing up talents in the field of Tianjin Vocational Education. In addition, TIFERT is in possession of a Visiting-Professor Group composed of 21 experts famous both at home and abroad from Nankai University, Sydney University, etc. and well-known entrepreneurs; another is a Senior Consultancy Group made up of 19 senior consultants, who are heads of governmental subdivisions, famous entrepreneurs and professors.

TIFERT adheres to the principle of nurturing the students in an all-round way, firmly focuses on economic construction and the need of social development. Being market oriented, TIFERT brings up the talents for management, administration and service by relying on the trade, integrating with enterprises, combining production, learning and researching with one another; in order to successfully frame a pattern of running school based on principle of opening up to the outside world and of the internationalized 3-D exchange, TIFERT is prepared to follow the trend of vocational education in the world, to bring her characteristics of foreign languages into full play, and to continuously widen the scope of academic exchange and joint operation in running school, with well-known academies in the developed countries; to pave the road leading to satisfactory employment, TIFERT attaches importance to nurturing the creative spirit and creativity of the students so as to popularize the education for all round development.
