Darren是澳大利亚歌手/歌曲作者。 他作为流行二人组Savage Garden（野人花园）的主唱于1996年首次登台，另一成员是乐器手Daniel Jones,同名专辑<Savage Garden>使他们一举成名，此专辑包括了先前的单曲的<I Want You><To The Moon And Back>以及当时电台播放率第一的<Truly Madly Deeply>。1999年这个二人组发行了第二张专辑<Affirmation>，里面包括非常受欢迎的<I Knew I Loved You><The Animal Song><Crash And Burn>。野人花园在2001年解散之前累计2千3百万张专辑的销量
Darren于2002年发行了他第一张单飞专辑<Spin>，这张专辑累计200万张销量，热门单曲<Insatiable>首次进入英国榜的第二位。这张专辑延续了野人花园的成功，使Darren的名气更大，但是对Darren唱片公司的期待使人感到失望，尽管这张专辑卖出几百万的销量。Darren的第二张专辑<the tenison and the spark> 对于这个歌手来说是个重大的转折，这张专辑展示了他对于电子音乐以及黑暗压抑的歌词的开始尝试。2006年后，Darren开始制作自己的独立音乐，2007年发行第三张专辑<This Delicate Thing We've Made>。至此，包括野人花园时期的专辑在内，Darren在世界范围内已经拥有超过2千5百万的专辑销量。
