简介(brief introduction)

[a]1928--1932年在中国与瑞典合作的科学考察中，中国地质学家袁复礼在新疆采到了一条不完整的蜥脚类恐龙。经杨钟健研究后，定名为奇台天山龙。它长约10米，是一条中等大小的恐龙，时代为侏罗纪晚期。这种恐龙前肢较短，肩胛骨较长。它发现于准噶尔盆地将军庙地区，从此揭开了准噶尔盆地大规模发掘恐龙的序幕。

天山龙（属名：Tienshanosaurus）意为“天山的蜥蜴”，是种蜥脚下目恐龙，生存于晚侏罗纪的中国。模式种是奇台天山龙（Tienshanosaurus chitaiensis），是由杨钟健在1937年所叙述。
