票房
票房（Box Office）原意是指公开出售电影或剧院门票的地方，现特指电影或戏剧的商业销售情况。票房可以用观众人数或门票收入来计算。在现今的电影业中，票房已经成为衡量一部电影是否成功的一项重要指标。
票房的由来票房在英文里的意思为“盒子办公室”。这个词来自于早期的戏院，要进入便宜的座位区需花费一个铜板，这个入场费是要放在位于入口闸门上一个锁住的小箱子。当箱子满了的时候，会有工作人员将箱子拿进一个小房间进行清点并收藏。因此这个财务部门相关的小房间就被称为“盒子办公室”（Box Office）。
