周丛照
周丛照，男，教授，博士生导师，中国科学院“百人计划”入选者。
1968年出生于湖北省。1987年至1995年就读于中国科技大学生物系并先后获学士和硕士学位。1999年1月至2000年2月作为联合培养博士生在法国巴黎南大学IGM研究所学习，2000年获中国科学技术大学生命科学学院博士学位。2000年9月至2001年1月在法国巴黎南大学遗传学与微生物学研究所作博士后研究；2001年2月至2003年12月在法国科研中心及巴黎南大学结构基因组学实验室作博士后研究。现为中国科技大学生命科学学院教授、博士生导师，合肥微尺度物质科学国家实验室（筹）研究员。在Nucleic Acids Research、Journal of Biological Chemistry、Structure、Biochemistry、Proteins和Gene等杂志发表研究论文十余篇。曾获得1998年度安徽省自然科学二等奖和2000年中法科技交流协会生物技术奖。2004年8月起任安徽省生物化学与分子生物学学会副理事长兼秘书长。2005年10月当选全国生物化学与分子生物学学会理事。2005年10月当选全国生物化学与分子生物学学会常务理事。
主要研究兴趣：
1、 酿酒酵母氧化应激反应的蛋白质相互作用网络及其在其他物种的同源映射研究
利用结构基因组学的研究方法系统地克隆、表达和纯化参与酿酒酵母(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)氧化应激反应(oxidative stress)的蛋白质。在对这些纯化的蛋白质的生化功能进行分析的基础上，解析其中一些关键蛋白的三维结构，并发现和鉴定一些新的多蛋白质复合物，最终重建氧化应激反应的蛋白质信号转导和相互作用网络。进一步可以通过同源映射作用，将这些知识应用到其他物种，从而有助于加深我们对氧化应激导致的衰老和各种疾病的分子机制的理解，以期为设计相关药物提供理论基础。
2、 家蚕(Bombyx mori)丝质相关基因及其编码蛋白的结构和功能研究
我们将以家蚕丝心蛋白基因的有关研究工作为基础，与最近完成的家蚕全基因组序列相结合，对家蚕基因组中与丝质相关的基因及其编码的蛋白质进行系统分析和深入研究，以理解丝心蛋白基因的高效复制和表达以及丝素的分泌和包装的精细调控的分子机制。
