1999.11 晋升武汉工业大学副教授，同年被武汉工业大学聘为力学学科固体力学专业硕士生导师
2000 博士毕业于武汉理工大学结构工程专业，获博士学位
2000.10－2001.04 被香港城市大学建筑系聘为副研究员，在香港从事科研合作
2001.05－2003 进入华中科技大学力学站从事博士后研究工作
2004.11 晋升武汉理工大学教授
2006.11 被武汉理工大学聘为力学学科工程力学专业博士生导师
主要任职武汉理工大学理学院工程结构与力学系副主任
研究领域大跨结构的抗震性能研究；大跨结构铸钢节点力学性能分析；高层钢结构半刚性连接抗震性能研究；道路桥梁力学性能分析；结构加固计算理论研究；流固耦合结构声振问题。
学术成果对大跨结构的非线性力学计算理论以及大跨结构的抗震设计理论进行了研究。系统地研究了土木工程中大跨屋盖结构的一般力学行为，以及在地震作用下的抗震特性，研究成果具有一定的工程意义；新型层布式钢纤维道路路面的设计理论研究，成果具有应用价值和应用前景；在加肋结构的声振问题的建模、解法和声振特性分析方面进行了系统、深入的研究。运用现代数学和力学工具对加肋航行器结构的耦合方程提出了有效的求解方法。研究成果能较好解决加肋结构的共振响应和声特性预报问题。在国内外重要刊物computers & structures, Journal of Vibration and Control ，Buildings & Structures, China Ocean Engineering, Journal of wuhan university of technology( materials science edition), Acta Mechanica Sinica(English Series) 上发表学术论文多篇[1]。
