全球人居环境论坛

全球人居环境论坛(GFHS)

全球人居环境论坛是世界人居环境领域高规格的对话平台和品牌盛会，已经连续在中国深圳成功举办了四届。

2005年9月25日，由联合国交流合作与协调委员会（CCC/UN）、联合国经济和社会事务部（UNDESA）、中国城博会、中国社科院城市发展研究会等共同发起，在中国成功地举办了首届全球人居环境论坛，获得了极大地成功。几年来，论坛坚持一年一度举办，出席论坛的知名嘉宾包括联合国副秘书长、联合国环境规划署首任执行主任莫瑞斯•斯特朗、前联合国安理会主席、联合国副秘书长安瓦尔•乔杜里、原中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理姜春云、建设部原副部长、中国房地产协会会长杨慎、中国工程院院士、北京大学环境科学中心教授唐孝炎、世界人类聚居学会副主席毛其智教授以及中外众多相关部委领导和知名专家，包括美国洛杉矶市、意大利维杰柯市、中国海南省、深圳市、南宁市、丽江市、大理市、三亚市、伊春市等在内的省市和万科地产、中海地产、华侨城、雅居乐等知名企业踊跃参加。四届会议代表总人数超过1500人，并在第二届论坛上发表了《营造绿色文明 建设宜居城市深圳宣言》。论坛的成功举办得到了联合国和国内外政府部门、非政府组织、城市、企业和主流媒体的高度肯定，在国内外产生了广泛的影响力，被誉为“人居领域的达沃斯论坛”。

在此基础上，为了更好地支持联合国的人居议程，推动中国乃至世界可持续发展，由联合国前副秘书长、联合国安理会前主席安瓦尔•乔杜里先生等国内外知名人士倡议，在联合国有关机构、中国相关部委和有关国际组织大力支持下，于2008年3月在美国纽约正式注册成立了非政府、非盈利的同名国际组织（NGO）——全球人居环境论坛理事会（Global Forum On Human Settlements），简称GFHS。

GFHS奉“建设可持续的人居环境，推动联合国人居议程”为宗旨，主要目标任务是：

1、在联合国的指导下，和各国政府、非政府组织、科研教育机构与企业合作，致力于向公众宣传联合国以及包括中国在内的成员国在可持续发展和人居环境领域所做出的努力，促进联合国千年发展目标的实现，提高贫困人口的生活质量；

2、积极参与联合国的有关项目，提出地区性或全球性的倡议，促进和加强区域之间在改善人居环境方面的沟通合作；

3、举办一年一度的论坛大会，为世界范围内的政府组织、非政府组织、商界、学术界等提供一个高规格的对话平台；

4、研究制定和推广人居环境相关的标准体系，提出各种专业研究报告，为政府和企业提供咨询参考，提高人居环境建设水平；

5、颁发“全球人居环境奖”，表彰在人居环境和可持续发展领域做出贡献的政府、企业、社团和个人等。

GFHS理事会主席由联合国前副秘书长、联合国安理会前主席安瓦尔•乔杜里先生（Anwarul K. Chowdhury）担任，秘书长由中国城博会秘书长、联合国人居署《全球最佳范例杂志》（中文版）总编辑吕海峰先生担任，并礼聘多名国际政要为顾问，理事会高层包括了多位联合国高级官员、中国及部分国家高级官员、人居环境领域的权威专家和知名人士。GFHS总部位于美国纽约，在中国北京和深圳设有办事处，理事会下设交流合作中心、人居环境研究院等机构和多个专业委员会。

Global Forum On Human Settlements (GFHS)

From 2005 to 2007, “Global Forum on Human Settlements” was successively jointly held by Communication Coordinating Committee for the United Nation(CCC/UN),China City Construction Development Expo(CCDE), United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Urban Development research Council in Shenzhen for thrice in the past three years，lots of celebrities attended series of forums to make a speech, including Maurice Strong--- Under Secretary General and Special Advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations，Anwarul K Chowdhury--- Former United Nations Under-Secretary-General And High Representative, Jiang Chunyun --Former Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, vice premier of the State Council, NPC Vice Chairman ,Yang Shen--Former minister of the Ministry of Construction, Chairman of China’s Real Estate Association and so on. Provinces and Cities participated, including Los Angeles in American, Hainan Province, Nanning and Lijiang cities in China. Famous enterprises such as Vanke and Cohl real estate companies presented. The success of the forum was highly affirmed by the United Nations, government departments at home and abroad, non-governmental organizations, cities enterprises and mainstream media. With worldwide influences, “Global Human Settlements Forum” has become a high profit event well-known at home and abroad, which serves as a platform for the dialogue among different cities in the world.

Aim to air zoology Culture and build livable cities, main purposes of GFHS are as following:

1.Under the leader of UN, cooperated with Governments, NGOs and educating institute, being devoted to publicizing the effort in sustainable development and Human Settlements made by UN and member countries beside China, promoting the realize of UN million development goals, improving life qualities of the poor.

2.To take activity participated with related projects of UN, to table regional and global proposals, to promote and strengthen regional communication and cooperation in improving Human Settlements, to provide a high-level venue for dialogue between government organizations, non-government organizations, enterprises, academia and other juridical in the world associations to discuss, exchange and develop ideas in the scope of human settlements, sustainable development and related issues at a high level.

3. To study and develop the standards of Habitat environment in order to promote and enhance the level of the building Habitat environment.

4. To study and promote standard system, make various of professional reports to supply references for governments and enterprises and promote construction of the Human Settlements.

5. To identify issues who award the GFHS, To commend and award the government, community, project, enterprise, league and personal who has devoted to human settlements and city construction.

Chairmen of GFHS is Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, Former Under-Secretary-General and High Representative of the United Nations, the Secretary-General of GFHS is Mr.Lu Haifeng, the Secretary-General of China City Construction & Development Expo (CCDE).Lots of celebrities are invited to be consultants, Board senior officials comprise UN senior officials, Chinese Ministry officials, Famous experts in Human Settlements and enterprisers. Headquarters of GFHS stays in New York U.S.A, offices in Beijing and Shenzhen, and there are communication &cooperation center, Human Settlements Research Institute and urban design, green building, and other professional committees.
